Application & Use of Van Stone Style Flange Replacement Split Rings
Designed for easy Van Stone style flange ring replacement in the event of system modification, repair, or improper assembly without having to remove existing flange hub. Split rings are made as a direct replacement of existing one-piece rings used on Spears® brand only of Van Stone style flanges with ANSI Class 150 bolt pattern plastic rings. Remove old ring to be replaced then simply place the split ring sections around hub and install flange bolts (not included) through special designed section overlap to hold in position. Install appropriate user supplied bolts, washers and gasket (see Flange Gasket and Bolt Hardware Kits in this catalog); torque to specifications according to normal flange assembly. Split rings are a set of either 2-pieces or 4-pieces (illustrated) sections depending on size, in regular PVC, Glass Filled PVC, or CPVC for flange type and sizes listed.
